TRAINING NEEDS

Definer makes the process of carrying out a Training Needs Analysis particularly easy. Once you have done a task analysis (see Task Analysis ) Definer enables you to attach to each task the person resonsible for carrying it out along with information on how well they perform it.

The illustration below shows the tasks performed by Charlie.  The letter 'C' stands for competent, while the letter 'T' indicates that some training is required.  Column '1' was shows how Charlie rates his performance and column '2' shows what his superviser thinks.  The illustration shows that Charlie has identified 3 tasks where he believes he would benefit from training while his superviser has identified 4. These tasks can be discussed at and appraisal (See Appraisals) and an agreement reached as to what training is required
