PROJECT
MANAGEMENT
Definer can be very useful in helping to manage small projects. It enables users to specify the tasks that have to be performed
in order to complete the project and specify the people, time
and resources that each task needs. From this information it is easy to work out the earliest
start time for each task and ensure that the no person or resource
is double booked. It also has the facility for the project manager
to add costings to ensure that if the project stays within budget.
The
graphics below shows an example of the type of information that
can be produced using a very small project aimed at renovating an
old house.

The
diagram to the right shows the tasks involved.
The
diagram shows how the user can highlight a high level task and Definer
will provide information on the people, resources and costing involved
in all the lower level tasks.
