IS AN IDEAL TOOL TO ASSIST STAFF APPRAISAL
Once
the task analysis has been carried out and the people who perform
each task identified, Definer will produce a list of all the tasks
carried out by each person. This list can then be given to the jobholder
who can do an initial self-appraisal by identifying tasks where
his or her performance could be improved. The same list could also
be given to the person's line manager to see how he rates the jobholder's
performance in each task as illustrated in the diagram below.

Such
lists, while not covering all aspects of a job appraisal can make
the whole process more objective and can make it easier to be specific
when determining what actions have to be taken to improve performance.
